South Sound Together is proud that our community is a great place to live and a good place to do business, and one of the most satisfying things we do is help make South Sound even better. We fund organizations that give small grants aimed at building strong neighborhoods and successful businesses.

We recently chose recipients for this year’s grants:

The Children’s Museum of Tacoma. The museum is aiming to make Pierce County an even better place for children and families. We’re giving the museum $15,000 to be used for grants to fund projects that will encourage kids and adults alike to play.

The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation. We’re giving $10,000 to fund the foundation’s Spark Grants, which aims to ignite positive social and economic change by supporting go-getters and grassroots organizers with big ideas.

Space Works Tacoma, a joint venture between the City of Tacoma and the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. Space Works gives artists and entrepreneurs a launching pad and is helping to define Tacoma as a hub for creativity. We’re giving $10,000 to be used for the Creative Enterprise program, which offers ongoing support to businesses in their early years.
