We’re looking for startup projects in the South Sound that would help attract community engagement, build a sense of pride or support economic development. That next BIG idea of yours could be funded by us. We’d love to hear about it. Email us at [email protected].

Recent projects we’ve funded include beautiful murals throughout the South Sound, grants that help promote justice and equality for young people, such as a leadership development project by the Oasis Youth Center, a trusted gathering space and resource for LGBTQ+ youth in Pierce County, and the Next Leaders Forum for young people who aspire to civic leadership.

South Sound Together has also provided funding for the launch of the South Sound Alliance leadership council, a pilot of the Downtown to Defiance trolley, and we helped bring Sue’s Tech Kitchen, a three-day interactive event to engage children in STEM education and technology, to Tacoma.
