New South Sound Together membership levels announced
South Sound Together started as a special project of The News Tribune, and now it’s a nonprofit.
South Sound Together consists of leaders from across the region who have come together as angel investors to build community. This nonpolitical collaboration looks to make positive impacts on the lifestyle and economy of the South Sound, leveraging investments and building partnerships within the community. They are guided by principles:
- Make and use connections first with one another and then with the community. (Collaboration)
- Support community efforts that no one else is undertaking. (Opportunity)
- Provide seed money rather than long-term funding. (Innovation)
Our annual investors collectively steward the assets of this initiative and ensure we are addressing immediate and long-term community needs. New, tiered membership levels are designed to ensure that South Sound Together is inclusive of a diverse set of supporters from corporations and municipalities to educational institutions and nonprofits. And our new media partners — KNKX, Premiere Media and Grit City Magazine — are helping to ensure that more people in the community know about the good works and community collaborations of our membership.
